Your brand in the bucket wall

Plastic buckets with IML printing

IML (in-mold labeling) puts your brand on the bucket before any product goes in. A film label with your artwork is placed in the mold and fuses with the wall during molding. The image won't rub off or peel, it survives washing, and your packers don't need to apply stickers on the line. You finalize the artwork and order volume with your sales manager. We mold the buckets in the Bishkek Free Economic Zone (FEZ) and ship across Kyrgyzstan and to Kazakhstan.

How to prepare

How to launch IML buckets

IML is part of the molding process, not a sticker on a finished bucket, so plan these orders ahead. The steps below save time on approvals and help you get quantities right. The more precise your input, the faster your artwork gets approved.

1Choose your sizes first: artwork is made for the height and circumference of a specific bucket, with a separate file for each size.
2Ask your sales manager for artwork requirements and print area dimensions. Your designer builds the image strictly to them.
3Estimate your packaging needs several months ahead: you finalize the order volume with your sales manager, and buckets with your branding are no use to anyone else.
4If you have several products, build a shared design base: the flavor or variety name changes, while the background and logo stay the same.
5While demand for a new product is unclear, sell it in a white bucket with a regular label. Switch to IML once volumes are steady.

Body dimensions for your artwork designer

Your designer needs the body height and circumference. Choose a size, and the calculator shows the bucket to scale with its top diameter, top-rim circumference, and height. The actual print area is smaller: your sales manager provides exact dimensions.

How much wall space your artwork gets

A designer preparing your artwork needs the body height and circumference first. We calculated the top-rim circumference from the diameter: it is an upper limit. The actual print area is smaller because the bucket tapers toward the bottom, and the rim and handle lugs take up part of the wall. Your sales manager sends exact print area dimensions together with the file requirements. Units per pallet show how much branded packaging arrives in one shipment.

Sizes vary widely. The 560 ml bucket has a wall only 80 mm tall, with room for a logo and product name. The 18 L bucket stands almost 29 cm tall and measures over a meter around: enough for a product photo, ingredients, and directions for use. The 3 L and 3.8 L buckets share the same 200 mm top but differ in height, so each needs its own artwork. If your brand comes in several sizes, design the logo so it keeps its proportions on a wall of any height.

IML benefits

Why manufacturers are moving away from stick-on labels

With small batches, you can still apply labels by hand. But once your line turns out hundreds of buckets per shift, stickers show their weak spots: they go on crooked, bubble, peel off from condensation, and get in the way of washing. IML solves these issues at the molding stage, long before the bucket reaches your filling line. You notice it most in dairy and paint plants, where packaging is always wet or smeared with product.

The film with your artwork goes into the mold before the polypropylene is injected. The hot material fuses with it, and the label becomes part of the bucket. There is no edge to catch with a fingernail and no glue layer to dry out or collect dirt over time. The image lasts as long as the bucket itself.

Washing and condensation

A bucket from a cold room gets covered in droplets, and sticky buckets get rinsed under running water after filling. A paper sticker soaks through and peels off in these conditions. An image fused in during molding stays put and won't rub off when the bucket is cleaned with a sponge. For dairy plants and pastry shops, where packaging sits in the cold for long periods, this is the deciding factor.

One less step on the line

Buckets arrive at your filling line with the image already on them. You don't need a labeler, glue, sticker rolls, or a worker making sure labels go on straight. The operator fills the bucket, snaps on the lid, and it goes straight onto the pallet. On large order volumes, this saves noticeable time and floor space.

Factory-made look

The image sits flush with the wall, with no bubbles or curled corners. So a bucket from a small cheese dairy or pastry shop stands on the shelf next to major brands and doesn't look homemade. A customer who liked the product remembers the bucket and recognizes it next time.

Logistics

Shipping branded packaging

IML buckets ship just like regular ones: empty, nested in stacks, on pallets, and the image inside the wall doesn't rub off against the next bucket. You can pick up your order from the factory warehouse in the Bishkek FEZ, Ak-Chiy village. We deliver across Bishkek and Chuy Region with our own delivery trucks, and to Osh, Jalal-Abad, Karakol, Naryn, and Talas through a freight carrier. For manufacturers in Kazakhstan, we ship pallets to Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, and Karaganda within the EAEU. Your sales manager confirms delivery time and cost when you place the order. Branded packaging can't be bought off the shelf at the last minute, so tie deliveries to your production schedule. If you have several designs, ask us to build each pallet from one design only, so batches don't get mixed up in your warehouse.

Frequently asked questions about IML buckets

Didn't find your answer?A sales manager replies Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Bishkek time

It's a decorating method where a film label with your image is placed in the mold and fuses with the bucket wall during molding. The finished bucket comes out of the mold already printed, with nothing to glue.

The image won't rub off or peel during washing, and it has no edges to catch on. Your packers skip the labeling step. A label still makes more sense for small and trial orders, where the artwork may change.

Food-grade buckets from 560 ml to 21 L. Each size gets its own artwork matched to its height and circumference, so one image won't fit all sizes. Retail packaging usually carries a large, bright image, while wholesale packaging focuses on the product name, ingredients, and contact details.

You finalize the order volume with your sales manager based on your artwork and chosen size. Share your approximate monthly packaging use and the number of designs, and your sales manager will suggest the best way to organize production.

Your sales manager quotes a price for each order based on bucket size, quantity, number of designs, and handle type. Call +996 222 600 292, and we'll prepare an estimate for your product. It's easiest to compare it with your label and hand-labeling costs on a monthly production volume.

No. The bucket shape and dimensions stay the same, and so does the lid with the OPEN tamper-evident tear strip. The labeling step simply drops off your line, and the worker who labeled buckets by hand can move to another task.

Yes, by the pallet within the EAEU to Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Karaganda, and other cities. Your sales manager confirms delivery time and cost when you place the order.

Request

Have a logo but no artwork?

Send us your logo, product photos, and the sizes you plan to fill. Your sales manager will explain the file requirements, the print area dimensions, and the approval process. If you don't have a designer, start with a label on a white bucket and come back to IML once the product gains traction. Also send a photo of the shelf where it will sit: that makes it easier to see what logo size stands out from a distance.
