A yellow or red 3.8 liter polypropylene bucket for medical waste, used needles, and disinfectant wipes. It has a plastic handle and comes with a lid, and an OPEN tamper-evident tear strip is molded into the body. The 3.8 liter medical bucket uses the same body as the food-grade bucket of this size, so dimensions, capacity, and units per pallet are identical for both versions. The difference is the color and the handle. Here the body is yellow or red, and the handle is plastic only, so the bucket has no metal at all.

The 3.8 liter nominal capacity is the working fill level; filled to the brim (ISO), the bucket holds 4.1 liters. The extra three hundred milliliters at the top leave room for the lid to close without pressing on the contents. The body is narrow and tall, so you can easily see the fill level when you look into the open bucket.

Unlike food buckets, medical buckets are counted by capacity, not by product. We don't say how many syringes or needles fit in one bucket: that depends on what each room collects and how. Typical uses for the 3.8 L bucket
Almost four liters is the right size for rooms that produce little waste per shift but must keep it separate: treatment rooms, vaccination rooms, blood collection points, and wound-dressing rooms at district hospitals. The top is only 200 millimeters across, so the bucket fits on the edge of a work table or on a cart without blocking the way.
Clinics and family medicine centers
Family medicine centers and city outpatient clinics place small containers in every room where injections are given. The narrow body stays out of the way at a crowded workstation.
District and regional hospitals
For hospitals in district centers of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, dense packing pays off: 2,800 buckets per pallet, so stock for several departments takes little warehouse space.

OPEN seal
A tamper-evident tear strip with the molded word OPEN sits on the body. If it has been torn off, the bucket has already been opened, and you can tell without checking the contents.

A 5.0 gram plastic handle. No size in the medical lineup has a steel bail handle.
Decoration
Clinic name, department, a field for the date: all of this goes on a label. It is applied to the finished bucket, so the text can change from one order to the next.
