This bucket has the largest headspace in the range: 1.3 liters, almost 17% above the nominal capacity. With an 8 liter fill, there is still room up to 9.3 liters at the very top. It comes down to shape: the body is wide and shallow, so every extra centimeter of height adds a lot of volume. The headspace is taken up by the lid, which seats inside the rim, and by the product expanding in the cold.

Trailers and containers are calculated on standard internal dimensions, with single-stacked pallets (no double stacking). Your sales manager will confirm the price and lead time for the order.
Body shape
The widest bucket in the lineup
276 millimeters across the top with a body height of 197.5: on the 8-liter bucket, the diameter is almost 1.5 times the height. No other size has these proportions. The 5.6 liter and 3 liter buckets are noticeably narrower, and everything above 11 liters grows upward rather than outward.
- The 276 millimeter opening easily takes a construction mixer paddle, so paint gets mixed without splashing over the rim.
- A wide brush and a trowel work straight from the bucket, with no need to decant into a tray.
- Under 20 centimeters high: the bucket fits under the bottom shelf of a rack and under a workbench.
- The 234 millimeter base keeps a full bucket stable on a stepladder or scaffold board.
- The wide opening is easy to wash by hand all the way down, no long-handled brush needed.
Applications
Typical uses for the 8 L bucket
8 liters is a size you can carry in one hand without tiring. A full bucket of paint weighs 12 kg: it gets lifted onto scaffolding, carried into apartments and held up while painting a ceiling. Most demand comes from building crews, paint and coatings manufacturers and apiaries in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
Paint and primer
12 kg of water-based paint in one bucket and 83 buckets per tonne. The steel bail handle with a plastic grip carries the full weight; the grip turns in your palm instead of cutting into it.
Putty and mastic
Ready-mixed putty, concrete primer, tile adhesive and bitumen mastic. The wide opening lets you work with a trowel straight from the bucket, and the 234 millimeter base keeps it steady on a stepladder.
Honey extraction
Just over 11 kg, a comfortable weight to carry from the extractor to the settling tank. The tamper-evident lid keeps the bucket closed while the honey settles.
Pickles and preserves
Cucumbers, cabbage, wild garlic, mushrooms. With a brine density of 1.05, a full bucket weighs 8.4 kilograms, and the 1.3 liter headspace absorbs expansion during chilling.

Lid, bail handle, color, and printing
Lid
Supplied with the bucket, it seats inside the rim and opens via a tamper-evident tear strip. The strip is molded on the bucket body rather than the lid and stays visible even on an open bucket: it cannot be closed again, so the first opening always shows.
Bail handle
A 40 gram galvanized steel bail handle with a white plastic grip. The grip turns under your fingers, so 12 kg of paint does not cut into your palm. There is no plastic handle for this size, only metal.
Color
The white body is chosen for paint, putty and full-surface printing. Clear is the choice for honey and pickles, when the contents should be visible through the wall without opening.
Printing
A label on the finished bucket, or IML with the film fused into the wall during molding. For DIY store shelves IML is more practical: the image does not tear off when the bucket gets dragged around a building site.

Eight liters or a nearby size
The nearest sizes in the range are 5.6 and 11.5 liters. The volume difference is straightforward, but on packaging use and pallet quantity the 8-liter bucket behaves differently from what you might expect: it is wide and takes up truck space like a much larger bucket.
Look at the last two columns. On packaging per liter, the 8-liter bucket loses to both neighbors: 31.3 grams versus 27.9 and 26.7. A pallet holds only 24 more of them than of the 11.5 liter bucket, even though the volume is 3.5 liters smaller. There is one reason: width, 276 millimeters across the top with a height of just 197.5. Buyers choose the 8-liter bucket for this shape, not for logistics. If your product ships by the pallet and shape does not matter, 11.5 liters works out cheaper on packaging.
