A 2.3 liter plastic bucket with lid and metal bail handle. The most packaging-efficient size in the lower half of the range: 27 grams of plastic per liter of product. Used for mushrooms, pickles, honey and paint. Molded in Bishkek and shipped across Kyrgyzstan and to Kazakhstan.
Full configurator - body and lid colors, IML printing with your logo, a PDF mock-up for your order. Your sales manager will give you an access code. Get a code
Once you send a request, your sales manager will confirm the price, lead time and delivery. Need less than a pallet? Put the quantity in the comment.
The bucket comes in two versions built on the same body: food-grade and medical. Dimensions, volume and pallet quantity are identical; the purpose, color and handle material differ. Every 2.3 liter bucket we supply to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan is molded at our plant in Bishkek.
900 ml: Ø 127 × 134 mm1 L: Ø 132.5 × 121 mm3 L: Ø 200 × 137 mm
Filled to the brim, it holds 2.444 liters, 144 milliliters more than the nominal capacity. This headspace is not sold: it lets the lid seat on the rim without squeezing product out and stops frozen product from splitting the wall.
Packing is planned in liters, but buying and selling happen in kilograms. Below is the conversion for the products most often packed in the 2.3 liter size, plus how many buckets you need per tonne.
| Product | Density | Net weight at a 2.3 L fill | Buckets per 1 tonne | Pallets of buckets per 1 tonne |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Honey | 1.42 kg/L | 3.3 kg | 306 | 0.09 |
| Jam and preserves | 1.33 kg/L | 3.1 kg | 327 | 0.10 |
| Pickles and mushrooms in brine | 1.05 kg/L | 2.4 kg | 414 | 0.13 |
| Sour cream 20% | 1.00 kg/L | 2.3 kg | 435 | 0.13 |
| Water-based paint | 1.50 kg/L | 3.5 kg | 290 | 0.09 |
Densities are typical values: our sales manager will recalculate the net weight for your recipe using actual data. A pallet holds 3,300 buckets, the densest stacking among buckets with a metal bail handle.
A pallet holds 3,300 buckets and stands 2.68 m high. A standard 13.6 m truck takes 18 pallets, or 59,400 buckets. Enter your quantity or product weight and we will show the pallets, packaging weight and truck load.
Trailers and containers are calculated on standard internal dimensions, with single-stacked pallets (no double stacking). Your sales manager will confirm the price and lead time for the order.
A 2.3 liter bucket is a family-size pack: just over 3 kilograms of honey or 2.5 kilograms of pickled mushrooms. The bucket still sits on the shop shelf and sells by the unit, yet in packaging cost it already behaves like a bulk pack. It is popular with preserve makers, apiaries and small paint producers.

Pickled mushrooms, cucumbers, wild garlic and mixed pickles for markets in Bishkek and Osh. The 175 mm opening lets you reach in by hand without pouring off the brine.
Just over 3 kilograms of honey, a bestselling format at fairs and in shops. The clear version shows off the color of the honey; white is chosen for labeling.
A small pack for touch-up work and tinting samples. Polypropylene does not react with water-based formulations, and the metal bail handle holds a full 3.5 kilograms.
A format for delis and canteens: 2.3 liters are used up in one shift, and the tight-fitting lid keeps the rest from drying out.
Supplied with the bucket, it seats on the rim and opens via a tamper-evident tear strip. The strip cannot be resealed, so any opening is obvious to the buyer.
A 13.4 gram metal bail handle, the first in the range; smaller sizes have plastic handles only. There is no plastic grip: that comes in from the 8-liter bucket. A version with a 3.4 gram plastic handle is also available, and the medical bucket always has a plastic handle.
The clear body is chosen for mushrooms, pickles and honey, letting the contents do the selling. White is the choice for labels and full-surface printing.
A label is applied to the finished bucket, while IML is fused into the wall during molding. On retail packs that face shoppers from the counter, IML looks neater and does not peel off in damp conditions.
For dental practices, vaccination rooms and small laboratories where the container is replaced as it fills up.

The nearest sizes in the range are the 1-liter and 3-liter buckets. Compare them not by unit price but by packaging weight per liter of product: this is where the gap between sizes is widest in the whole range.

Of these three sizes, 2.3 liters uses the least packaging per liter: 27.0 grams versus 36.0 for the 1-liter and 31.7 for the 3-liter bucket. The 3-liter bucket loses out because it is very wide, with a 200 mm opening and a height of 137 mm, so the wall takes more material. If you can adjust your pack weight, 2.3 liters beats both neighbors on packaging cost.
Just above 2 liters, the range changes character. Below this size, buckets are carried by a plastic handle and use about 36 grams of packaging per liter of product. From 2.3 liters, a metal bail handle appears and plastic use drops to 27 grams per liter, the best figure among all buckets up to 8 liters.
36.0 grams of packaging per liter for the 1-liter bucket versus 27.0 at 2.3 liters. For the same product, that saves about a quarter in packaging weight on every liter filled.
Below 2.3 liters, handles in the range are plastic only. This is where a 13.4 gram steel bail handle first appears: a full bucket weighs over 3 kilograms, which is too much for a plastic handle. The 3.4 gram plastic version is still available.
The densest stacking among buckets with a metal bail handle. The same pallet holds 2,800 of the 3-liter buckets, and the same number of 3.8 liter buckets.
Wider than it is tall: 175 mm across the top with a height of 132 mm. A hand with a spoon fits easily through the opening, so mushrooms or cucumbers come out without tipping the bucket over.
If you currently pack in 1-liter buckets and your recipe allows a bigger pack weight, switching to 2.3 liters is the simplest way to cut the share of packaging in your unit cost. Count grams of packaging per liter, not the bucket price: a 2.3 liter bucket costs more than a 1-liter one but holds more than twice as much product.
2.3 liter buckets ship from the same Bishkek warehouse as the rest of the range. Our sales manager confirms lead time and cost when you place an order, separately for Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
How we deliverMolding and storage share one site in the Bishkek Free Economic Zone, Ak-Chiy village. A pallet of 3,300 buckets is available for pickup; we deliver across the capital and the Chuy Region with our own truck and ship to Osh, Jalal-Abad and Karakol via a freight carrier.

All cities and regionsNo, there is no exact 2-liter size in our range. The closest is 2.3 liters: by ISO it holds 2.444 liters to the brim, so 2 liters of product fit with room to spare. The next size down is 1 liter.

Your choice of a 13.4 gram metal bail handle or a 3.4 gram plastic one. This is the first size in the range to offer metal: the 1-liter bucket has a plastic handle only. There is no plastic grip on the handle; that comes in from 8 liters.
3,300. For comparison, a pallet holds 2,800 of the 3-liter buckets and 6,480 of the 1-liter ones.
It comes down to shape. The 3-liter bucket is very wide, with a 200 mm opening and a height of 137 mm, so the wall takes more material. Per liter of product, that works out to 31.7 grams of plastic versus 27.0 for the 2.3 liter bucket.
Yes, in pallets of 3,300 to Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Karaganda and other cities. Both countries are in the EAEU, so no customs clearance is needed, and the rate is based on the number of pallets.

Yes. Labels suit small orders, while IML is for regular production runs: the film is fused into the wall during molding and stands up to moisture and washing.
