This is the largest size in our jerry can range. Like the 5 L, it is closed: liquid goes in and out through a threaded neck. There is no medical version of our jerry cans. We mold 10 L jerry cans for Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan at our plant in Bishkek.

420 g of packaging for 10 liters works out to 42 g per liter, the best figure among our jerry cans. The same rule applies as with buckets: the larger the container, the smaller the share of resin that goes into the walls. Yet it is only 56 mm taller than the 5 L; the rest of the extra capacity comes from a wider, deeper body.

Logistics
Twice the liters, half as many per pallet
A 10 L jerry can holds exactly twice as much as a 5 L one, but a pallet fits almost half as many: 100 vs. 180. The numbers nearly cancel each other out, and that changes how you choose.
- Product per pallet space: 1,000 liters vs. 900. A gain of only about 11%.
- But packaging weight per liter drops noticeably: 42 g of polypropylene per liter vs. 48. On a large production run, that adds up to tonnes of resin.
- You need half as many jerry cans per tonne of product, which means half as many caps, labels, and filling line operations.
- A full jerry can weighs about 10 kg. It can still be carried in one hand, but not over a long distance.
- Empty jerry cans do not nest inside each other, so an empty order takes up as much truck space as a full one.
Applications
Typical uses for the 10 L jerry can
Ten liters is the size for buyers who stock up on liquids: car washes, construction crews, factories, and farms. A full jerry can weighs about 10 kg. It can still be carried in one hand, but it usually stays next to the workstation rather than being hauled around the site.
Primer and construction chemicals
Ten kilograms of deep-penetration primer. The narrow neck lets you pour into a roller tray or a spray gun without a funnel and without spills.
Car care products and car washes
Shampoos, concentrates, and polishes. At a car wash, the jerry can sits by the bay and lasts for weeks, so a screw cap matters more here than a tamper-evident tear strip.
Water and automotive fluids
Drinking and non-potable water, antifreeze, and windshield washer fluid. The handle is molded in one piece with the body and holds the full weight.
Retail under your own brand
The flat side wall takes a label without distortion, and the rectangular body sits snugly on a store shelf and on a pallet.

Cap
Screw-on and included. The thread is built for repeated opening: at a car wash or on a job site, a jerry can is used up over weeks, not all at once.
Handle
Molded in one piece with the body, above the neck. No removable parts. A full jerry can weighs about 10 kg, and the load rests on solid plastic rather than on a joint.
Body
Rectangular, with stiffening ribs. Jerry cans sit tight against each other on the pallet and in the truck, and the ribs keep the wall from bulging under the weight of the liquid in transit.
Printing
An adhesive label on the flat side wall is the main decoration method. Label size and placement are agreed when you order a production run.

The difference in liters per pallet is only about 11%: 1,000 vs. 900. But the 10 L jerry can is clearly more economical on resin: 42 g of packaging per liter vs. 48. It also needs half as many operations on the filling line: one jerry can instead of two, one cap instead of two, one label instead of two. Choose the 5 L when that is the pack size your customers need.

Because units per pallet depend on the floor space each jerry can occupies. A pallet holds 180 of the 5 L jerry cans or 100 of the 10 L ones. In liters, that is 900 vs. 1,000: a difference of about 11%, even though the volume differs twofold.
Resin and handling. Packaging weight is 42 g per liter of product vs. 48. And per tonne of filled product you need half as many jerry cans, so half as many caps, labels, and filling line cycles.
