The body is wide and low: 332 mm across the top and 286 mm high. Almost two liters of headroom remain between nominal and brim, 1.9 L by ISO, so the lid closes without pressing on the contents. The 278 mm bottom diameter matches the 21 liter bucket, so both sizes take the same shelf width.

Applications
Typical uses for the 18 L bucket
Eighteen liters is not a size for a nurses' station but for the place where waste from the whole building accumulates. Staff bring it from the floors to the central collection room, where it is held in larger containers until pickup for disposal. Multi-specialty hospitals, maternity hospitals, and outpatient clinics in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan order these buckets.
Hospital building
When a hospital has a dozen departments, it is easier to bring all waste to one room. There, the 18 liter bucket serves as a holding container: more capacity means fewer containers on the shelf and fewer entries in the waste log.
Class B waste
This is one of the uses listed in the catalog. The closed bucket stays in the collection room until pickup, and the OPEN seal shows whether it has been opened since it was closed.

Lid matches the body color
The yellow bucket comes with a yellow lid that has a round red hatch panel in the center. The red bucket gets a solid red lid. Since the lid repeats the body color, you can tell buckets apart from above even when they stand close together.
Plastic handle
Weighs 12.8 g and is made entirely of plastic. The food-grade version of the same size uses a 60 g steel bail with a plastic grip instead; the medical version has no metal at all.
Yellow or red
The body is molded in one of two colors. A hospital that sorts waste by stream should order both colors in one shipment and agree in advance how many pallets of each.
Text and logo
Your facility's text and logo are applied with a label. It goes on the finished bucket, so you can start with a trial order.
Food-grade version
Food-grade 18 L bucket: same body, steel bail handle
