The bucket comes in two versions built on the same body: food-grade and medical. Dimensions, weight and volume are identical; only the purpose and color differ. Every 1-liter bucket we supply to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan is molded at our plant in Bishkek.

The gap between the nominal capacity and the ISO volume is the headspace to the brim. A nominal 1 L is the working fill, while the bucket holds 1.18 L filled to the very top. When packing thick products, this headspace lets the lid snap on without squeezing product out.

Applications
Typical uses for the 1 L bucket
The 1-liter size covers retail packs in food production and small containers for paints and coatings. It is most popular with apiaries, dairies, preserve makers and DIY stores across Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
Honey and jam
The go-to retail format for apiaries around Issyk-Kul, Talas and the Chuy Valley, and in Kazakhstan for beekeepers in the Almaty and East Kazakhstan regions. The tight-fitting lid keeps moisture out.
Sour cream and dairy
A format for small dairies and family farms around Bishkek and Almaty. Polypropylene stands up to washing and freezing.
Pickles and preserves

Supplied with the bucket and seals around the entire rim. Opens via a tamper-evident tear strip marked OPEN.
Handle
Plastic, weighing just 1.3 grams: a 1-liter bucket does not need metal. Metal bail handles start in the range from 2.3 liters.
Color
White suits labels and full-surface printing. Clear is the choice when shoppers need to see the product: honey and jam are most often packed in clear buckets.
Printing
A label on the finished bucket, or IML: the image is fused into the wall during molding, so it will not rub off or peel when washed.
Medical version

If a liter does not match your net weight, the nearest sizes in the range are 900 ml and 2.3 liters. Volume is only part of the picture: packaging weight per liter of product matters too, and on large runs it translates straight into money.
A liter uses packaging more efficiently than 900 ml. If your pack format allows you to go up, the 2.3 liter size cuts packaging per liter of product by a quarter. If retail dictates the format, the liter remains the best option.

Polypropylene keeps its properties at sub-zero temperatures: for storage at minus 18 °C and below, leave headspace for expansion. The bucket withstands brief heating, but hot filling can make the body shrink, so we select a specific version for it.
