Producers, cafes, sales by weight

Plastic tubs for ice cream

Plombir (rich, creamy vanilla), crème brûlée, pistachio, and seasonal apricot ice cream sell three ways: as ready-packed buckets from a store chest freezer, by weight at the counter, and by the scoop in cafes. Ice cream makers use our food-grade buckets for all three. The lid fits tightly into the rim, the OPEN tamper-evident tear strip shows the bucket hasn't been opened, and in-mold labeling (IML) graphics won't rub off under shoppers' fingers. The 560 ml to 1 L sizes are used for sales by weight and take-home, and 2.3-5.6 L for cafe display cases. Empty buckets nest inside each other.

How many scoops in one tub

Cafes count ice cream in scoops, producers count it in liters. Choose a bucket and a scoop size to see how many servings you get from one bucket and from a full pallet. The "Per shelf" tab shows how many buckets fit in a row in a chest freezer.

Servings and dimensions

How many scoops in one tub

Cafes count ice cream in servings, not liters. We converted each bucket's nominal capacity into scoops of two sizes, 50 and 70 ml, which is enough to estimate how many sales one bucket will cover. Body dimensions and tare weights come from our factory catalog, and the last column shows where each size typically works best.

The difference between a 50 ml and a 70 ml scoop adds up: a 5.6 L bucket yields either 112 or 80 servings. So it's worth measuring your own scoop once and recalculating the table for it. For a display case, the top diameter matters too: 175 mm on the 2.3 L bucket and 224 mm on the 5.6 L, which determines how many flavors fit in a row. Stores, on the other hand, care more about units per pallet and space in the chest freezer than about scoop counts.

Sales channels

Where ice cream sells by the tub

An ice cream maker usually sells through several channels at once: stores, its own kiosks by the water, and cafes that buy ice cream in bulk. Each needs its own packaging, and it's easier to source it all from one factory so the body color and design match across your whole flavor lineup. Below are four places where a bucket of ice cream meets the customer.

Ice cream production

Producers fill buckets right on the line and close them immediately: the flat lid fits tightly into the double rim. Empty buckets arrive nested in stacks and don't clutter the space by the line. One body with different IML designs lets you run several flavors without changing packaging.

Take-home sales

At the store, shoppers grab a 560 ml or 1 L bucket from the chest freezer and take it home. The OPEN tear strip under the rim shows nobody has removed the lid since it left the plant, and the IML design won't rub off under damp fingers. The 800 ml bucket has a plastic handle, making it easy to carry to the car.

Cafes and coffee shops

For scoop display cases, cafes choose 2.3 or 5.6 L. Through the 175 and 224 mm openings, an ice cream scoop reaches the walls, so you can scrape the bucket clean to the bottom without leaving streaks around the edges. After washing, the empty bucket often stays in the kitchen to hold toppings, nuts, or waffle crumbs.

Seasonal kiosks

In summer, ice cream sells from kiosks in Cholpon-Ata, Bosteri, and Bishkek's parks. Compactness counts there: a 2.3 L bucket just 132 mm tall fits even in a shallow chest freezer. The bail handle makes it quick to swap buckets when you change flavors in the display.

How to choose

How to choose an ice cream tub

Start with where your ice cream will meet the customer. On a store shelf, looks, a handle, and a family-size capacity are what count. In a cafe display case, the opening width and body height matter more, and nobody but the barista will see the design. The third question is how many flavors you offer: the more flavors, the smaller each bucket in the display case.

Logistics

Delivery to ice cream makers and cafes

You can pick up buckets by the pallet from the factory warehouse in the Bishkek Free Economic Zone (FEZ), Ak-Chiy village. Our own trucks deliver to ice cream producers and cafes in Bishkek and the Chuy Region. For producers and cafes in Cholpon-Ata, Karakol, Osh, Jalal-Abad, and other cities, we ship via a freight carrier. For kiosks on Issyk-Kul, it's best to ship packaging before beach season opens, while the roads to the lakeshore are still quiet. We ship by the pallet within the EAEU to Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Karaganda, and other cities in Kazakhstan. In spring, before the season starts, it's convenient to order extra: empty buckets store compactly in stacks, ready for your first batch. Your sales manager confirms delivery time and cost when you place your order.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about ice cream tubs

Didn't find your answer?A sales manager replies Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Bishkek time

Ice cream producers use our buckets. We don't publish freeze-resistance figures, so check the storage conditions for your product with your technologist on a trial batch. Your sales manager will tell you which sizes are most popular for ice cream and send their dimensions so you can check how the buckets fit your chest freezers and display cases.

The lid fits tightly into the rim and stays put while stock is sorted. To remove it the first time, you have to tear off the OPEN tear strip, so the bucket won't open by accident. After that, the lid goes back on, so customers can close up unfinished ice cream at home.

For a scooping display case, most shops choose 2.3 or 5.6 L. The smaller bucket empties faster and sits open for less time, while the larger one needs changing less often. The table above converts each size into servings. If your display holds ten or more flavors, smaller buckets help you fit them all in.

For selling by weight at the counter, the 1 L bucket with a plastic handle is the handiest: the server scoops a portion, weighs it, and snaps on the lid. For smaller purchases there's the 560 ml, and for families, the 800 ml with a handle. A clear bucket shows customers exactly how much they're getting.

Our sales manager prices each order individually. The price depends on size, color, handle, and printing, so send us the sizes you need and your expected quantity for the season. For IML, the sales manager will also check how many flavors and designs you need.

Yes, by the pallet within the EAEU: to Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Karaganda, and other cities. Your sales manager confirms delivery time and cost when you place the order. Within Kyrgyzstan, for example to Osh and Karakol, we ship via a freight carrier.

Yes, with a label or IML. With in-mold labeling, the image is fused into the wall during molding, so it won't rub off or peel when washed, and your flavor and brand stay visible both on the shelf and in the customer's hands. Color-coding the artwork on the wall makes it easy to tell flavors apart. Learn more on our IML printing page.
