Fillings, creams, glazes

Buckets for pastry fillings and creams

Bake-stable fillings for puff pastries, pastry cream and buttercream, mirror glaze, eclair fondant, and chocolate and nut spreads arrive at pastry kitchens in buckets and get scooped out with a spatula down to the last spoonful. The HTI plant in the Bishkek Free Economic Zone (FEZ) molds food-grade buckets from 560 ml to 21 L with a wide opening, a lid that snaps into a double rim, and an OPEN tamper-evident tear strip. Our customers include pastry ingredient manufacturers, cake shops, bakeries, and home bakers in Bishkek and Almaty.

How many piping bag refills from one bucket

Cream and filling are scooped from the bucket into a piping bag. The tool shows how many half-liter fills each size gives you and the bucket's top diameter, which tells you whether a spatula will fit. Set your own portion size with the "Custom portion" button.

Spatula and piping bag

Wide or deep: how cream comes out of the bucket

Thick cream and filling aren't poured but scooped out with a spatula, so geometry is what matters here. The wider the opening relative to the height, the shallower the angle at which the tool reaches the bottom, and the less product stays on the walls. We calculated this ratio for every size and added how many times each bucket can fill a 0.5 L piping bag.

The lowest and widest buckets in the range are the 3 L and 8 L: their opening is almost one and a half times their height, so dense fondant or ganache comes out without twisting your wrist. The 3 L and 3.8 L share the same 200 mm opening and differ only in depth, so the shallow 3 L is handier for spatula-scooped cream, while the taller one works fine for pourable glaze. Bag fills are calculated at nominal capacity and rounded down.

What matters in production

Cream, glaze, paste: what food technologists ask

An ingredient manufacturer and a pastry shop see the same bucket from two different angles. The manufacturer needs to fill it quickly on the line, close it, and ship it to the customer with no disputes over whether it was opened in transit. The pastry shop needs to open it, take out a shift's worth, and put the rest back on the rack. The four points below cover both.

The spatula reaches the bottom

The round body has no corners and tapers toward the bottom, so pastry cream and fondant don't get stuck along the edges. The pastry chef runs the spatula along the wall in one motion and gathers the product instead of scraping it out. With fillings a kitchen goes through by the bucketful every week, the savings show up in the very first month.

See the glaze color at a glance

A clear body shows which glaze is inside: white, chocolate, berry, or caramel. In a warehouse with dozens of identical buckets side by side, you can find the right item without opening anything. For spreads sold under the maker's brand, a white body with a label is the more common choice.

Filling arrives untouched

The OPEN tamper-evident tear strip under the rim is torn off at first opening, so the pastry shop can see on delivery whether the bucket was opened along the way. That spares the supplier any disputes over short weight or a swapped flavor. For dairy-based creams, buyers themselves often require this kind of tamper evidence.

A whole flavor line, one bucket

A manufacturer doesn't need separate packaging for every flavor: the bucket shape stays the same, and only the artwork changes. An in-mold label (IML) with the product name, flavor, and ingredients is fused into the wall during molding and stays legible even when sticky drips are rinsed off under the tap. For a trial batch of a new flavor, a regular label will do.

How to choose

Size to match your pastry shop's usage

A good rule of thumb: an opened bucket should be used up within a few shifts, not sit half-used for weeks. That way your pastry chef doesn't run to the storeroom for more in the middle of an order, and leftovers don't hog shelf space. Estimate your daily use of each filling and compare it with the bag fills in the table above.

Logistics

Delivery in time for cake season

Pastry demand is uneven: before New Year's, March 8 (International Women's Day), Nowruz, and during wedding season, kitchens run two shifts, and that's exactly when they need empty packaging. Buckets nest in stacks, so a peak month's supply takes up little space along a warehouse wall. You can pick up pallets at the factory in the Bishkek FEZ, Ak-Chiy village, and we deliver across Bishkek and Chuy Region with our own trucks. We ship to pastry shops in Osh, Jalal-Abad, Karakol, and Talas by freight carrier, and to manufacturers in Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, and Karaganda by the pallet within the EAEU. Your sales manager confirms delivery time and cost when you place the order, so it makes sense to order holiday buckets well ahead, not in the last week before the rush.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about buckets for fillings and creams

Didn't find your answer?A sales manager replies Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Bishkek time

For cream scooped with a spatula, the low 3 L and 8 L buckets are the handiest: their opening is noticeably wider than their height. Choose a size that lets you use up an opened bucket within a few shifts. If you fill cream while it's warm, work out the filling conditions with your food technologist and test them on a trial batch.

Yes, for store shelves the usual choices are 560 ml, 850 ml, or the 900 ml with a molded-in handle. The OPEN tamper-evident tear strip shows shoppers the spread hasn't been opened, and a white body with IML works as complete retail packaging, no cardboard box needed.

A bag has to be cut open, and what's left gets closed with a clip or a knot. A bucket closes with the same lid, which snaps back into the double rim, and the wide opening lets you scoop out filling with a spatula without losing any in the folds of film. Once washed, the empty bucket often stays in the kitchen for powdered sugar or nuts.

Our sales manager prices each order based on size, quantity, body color, handle type, and printing. Call +996 222 600 292 and tell us your flavors and monthly output, and we'll quote your whole product line at once.

Yes, with a label or in-mold labeling (IML). With IML, the image is fused into the wall during molding and won't peel off in the wash, so sticky cream marks rinse off without harming the design. Different flavors get different artwork on the same bucket. Learn more on our IML printing page.

Yes, by the pallet within the EAEU to Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Karaganda, and other cities. Your sales manager confirms delivery time and cost when you place the order. Empty buckets ship nested: one pallet holds 816 of the 11.5 L buckets or 2,800 of the 3 L buckets.

A metal bail handle with a plastic grip: the tubular grip spreads the weight across your palm, so a full bucket can be carried from the kettle to the filling station without wrapping a towel around the handle. Buckets up to 5.6 L come with a choice of metal bail handle or plastic handle.
