Packaging for construction companies and crews

On a job site, a bucket is not packaging. It is a tool. Crews mix tile adhesive in it, carry primer upstairs, leave opened putty in it overnight, and keep screws in it. It pays to buy these buckets for every crew at once instead of collecting empty mix buckets around the site. HTI Group molds buckets from 2.3 to 21 L with lids and bail handles in the Bishkek Free Economic Zone (FEZ). The large sizes come with a plastic grip. We also make water jerry cans and ship everything to construction sites across Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

A bucket in the crew's hands

What happens to a bucket over one shift

For a mix producer, a bucket's job ends when the customer opens it. For a construction company, it lasts all season. Crews open it, wash it, set it on concrete, carry it up stairwells, and leave it overnight on a floor slab. Here are four ways job site buckets differ from retail packaging.

Clear 3.8 L plastic bucket with lid and bail handle on a workbench in a job site trailer next to a cordless drill
Crew storage3.8 L: 200 mm opening, fasteners visible through the wall
    Mix in the same bucket

Mix tile adhesive and plaster right in an 18 or 21 L bucket. The 332 mm opening leaves room for the mixer paddle. The wall tapers to the bottom with no corners where dry lumps could collect. Put the lid on while the installer preps the surface, and the mortar dries out less on top.

    Carrying upstairs

A full bucket of mortar is heavy, and crews carry it up stairs or pass it onto scaffolding dozens of times a day. From 8 L up, the metal bail handle has a plastic grip. It turns in your palm and spreads the weight. The 15 L bucket's bail handle weighs 40 g; the 18 L one, 60 g.

    Opened material overnight

At the end of a shift, crews move leftover mastic, grout, or tinted paint into a smaller bucket. The lid snaps into the double rim. In the morning, work resumes from a closed bucket instead of scraping off a dried crust. That is why crews keep a few 3.8 and 5.6 L buckets in storage.

Your buckets on a shared site

Several contractors work on one building, and identical white buckets quickly end up with other crews. With in-mold labeling (IML), your company logo is fused into the wall during molding and becomes part of the bucket. Your equipment is easier to count, issue, and return to base.

    Job site tasks

Which bucket for which crew job

A construction company buys packaging to use, not to resell. That is why this table is organized by site task, not by material. For each task, we list the size site managers choose most often and link to the page that covers the material itself. Dimensions and empty weights are on the size pages.

Companies most often reorder 15 and 21 L buckets. Crews mix, carry, and wash in them, so by the end of the season you need the most of these. Small 2.3 and 3.8 L buckets are needed in large numbers: one per painter and tile setter. Count jerry cans separately in your request. Empty jerry cans do not nest, and a hundred 10 L ones take up a full pallet.

Plan packaging per crew, not for the whole company, then multiply by the number of sites. Below is the kit finishing and general construction crews usually start with. After a month of work, adjust the quantities to actual use.

    Logistics

Packaging delivered to the site, not the office

There is usually no reason to send buckets to your head office. We can deliver pallets straight to the site or to the base where you keep equipment. If your truck is already picking up materials, choose pickup from the factory warehouse in the Bishkek FEZ, Ak-Chiy village. Sites in Bishkek and across the Chuy Region, from Kara-Balta to Tokmok, get deliveries on our own trucks. To Osh, Jalal-Abad, Karakol, Naryn, and Talas, we ship by freight carrier. We supply sites in Kazakhstan (Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, and Karaganda) by the pallet within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) through a freight carrier. Your sales manager confirms the delivery cost and arrival date when you place the order. Stock up for the season in advance: empty buckets nest in a stack and take up almost no space in the site trailer.

    Questions and answers

    Questions from construction companies

Didn't find your answer?A sales manager replies Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Bishkek time

Yes. Crews usually pick 18 or 21 L for this: the 332 mm opening leaves room for the paddle, and the tapered wall has no corners. Do not fill the mix to the very top. The 21 L bucket has a brim-full capacity of 21.9 L, and you need headroom so mortar does not splash out while mixing.

Most often, 15 L. It has the same bail handle with plastic grip as the larger sizes, but a lighter load per trip. With heavy mortar and many floors, crews switch to 11.5 L and make more trips without straining their arms.

Your sales manager quotes a price after estimating your order. It depends on the sizes, quantity, handle type, and logo. Send us a list by crew, and we will estimate the whole kit at once. Phone: +996 222 600 292.

Yes. A label works for a small order, but paper gets dirty fast on site. For long-term equipment, companies choose IML: the image is fused into the wall during molding.

Yes, the lid seals tightly into the double rim. Match the bucket to the amount left so less air sits above the material: 2.3 and 3.8 L work well for paint, and 5.6 L for mastic and grout.

Yes, by the pallet within the EAEU: to Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Karaganda, and other cities. In your request, you can give the address of your base or the site itself. Your sales manager confirms delivery cost and time when you place the order.

Water in an open bucket quickly collects dust on site, while a jerry can closes with a screw cap. Crews fill the 10 L jerry can with drinking water for the shift and the 5 L one with detergent for cleanup. The handle is molded in one piece with the body.
