Plastic buckets for greases and lubricants
Grease doesn't run, but it easily picks up dust and sand, and grit in the grease wears a component down instead of protecting it. That's why Litol, Solidol, graphite grease, and assembly pastes are packed in buckets with a tight-fitting lid and a wide opening that makes it easy to load a grease gun. HTI Group molds these buckets from 800 ml to 21 L and ships them to grease packers, fuel and lubricant wholesalers, and auto repair shops in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

How to choose
Pack sizes by service interval
Grease is used a little at a time over a long period, so choose the size based on how often you service your equipment: the less often the bucket is opened, the smaller the pack should be. Every extra opening is a chance to let dust in. At auto parts markets, grease is also sold by weight: an 18 or 21 L bucket sits by the counter, and the vendor scoops out the amount needed with a spatula.

How much grease in each bucket
Greases are sold by the kilogram, but packaging is ordered by the liter. For the conversion, we used a density of about 0.9 kg/L, close to that of Litol and Solidol; graphite and copper pastes are denser, so take their figure from the product data sheet. The last column shows how many buckets it takes to pack one tonne of grease, so your purchasing team can order packaging to match the production plan.

A one-liter bucket holds about 0.9 kg of grease, the right format for auto parts stores and home garages. A tonne of product takes more than a thousand of these buckets but only 53 of the 21 L size, so for quarries, vehicle fleets, and large farming operations it pays to pack grease in bigger buckets. Tare weight comes in handy when you calculate gross weight: the 21 L bucket weighs 620 g. Graphite and copper pastes are denser, so the same bucket holds more kilograms; recalculate using your product's data sheet.

How much grease in each bucket
Grease is sold by weight: one, five, ten, or eighteen kilograms. A liter of Litol weighs about 0.9 kg, and the tool converts bucket volume to net weight and back. On the "Order" tab, a tonne of grease is broken down into buckets and pallets: 1,112 one-liter buckets or 53 of the 21 L size.

Garage, quarry, field, and warehouse
The same grease ends up with a car owner who greases the CV joints once a season and with a quarry mechanic who services equipment every shift. Their packaging needs differ, but one thing matters to both: no dirt can get inside. Here's how the bucket works in four typical settings.
Auto shops and garages
Mechanics load a grease gun or scoop grease with a spatula straight from an 800 ml or 1 L bucket sitting on the workbench. The wide opening doesn't get in the way, and the lid keeps metal shavings and shop dust out of the grease. Once empty, the bucket is handy for bolts and small fasteners.
Vehicle fleets and quarries
Grease for dump trucks, loaders, and excavators comes in 18 and 21 L buckets. The 332 mm opening lets you scoop out product with a spatula and fill a grease pump without leaving residue on the walls. With the plastic grip on the bail handle, a full bucket can be carried one-handed, and the lid goes back on after every refill.
Farm machinery
Before sowing and harvest, farmers service their tractors and combines and keep grease in a 5.6 L bucket under a shed roof or in a field trailer. The lid seated in the double rim keeps field dust out, and the bail handle lets you hang the bucket on a wall hook. The white body stands out in a dim trailer, so the bucket doesn't get lost among jerry cans and tools.
Branding and labeling
Packers want the bucket to clearly show the grease name, its application, and the key specs from the data sheet. IML fuses the image into the wall during molding, so oily rags won't wipe it off. Color coding shows up well on a white body: each grease gets its own color, so they don't get mixed up in the warehouse.

Shipping to fuel and lubricant packers and wholesalers
A lubricant packer usually works with two or three sizes, and they all arrive in one shipment. Empty buckets nest inside each other, so a single pallet carries 6,480 one-liter buckets. You can pick up packaging from the factory warehouse in the Bishkek Free Economic Zone (FEZ), Ak-Chiy village. Our own trucks deliver across Bishkek, Kant, Tokmok, and all of Chuy Region, and we ship to Osh, Jalal-Abad, Karakol, Naryn, and Talas via a freight carrier. Wholesalers in Kazakhstan, from Almaty and Shymkent to Karaganda, Aktobe, and Atyrau, get pallet shipments within the EAEU. Companies that buy lubricants on an annual plan can pick up packaging for several months at once: stacked buckets take up little space.

Frequently asked questions about grease buckets
About 0.9 kg: Litol and Solidol have a density close to 0.9 kg/L. Filled to the brim, the one-liter bucket holds 1.18 L, but grease is packed with some headspace so the lid sits evenly in the rim.
Manual and pneumatic grease pumps are usually filled from 18 and 21 L buckets with a 332 mm opening. If your pump sits directly on the container, check its cover against the bucket's top diameter before you order.
The buckets are used for mineral-based greases: Litol, Solidol, graphite grease, and thick lubricating pastes. For formulas with aggressive additives or solvents, compatibility with polypropylene is checked on a trial batch.
