Sokuluk is a large village west of Bishkek and the center of Sokuluk District. It's surrounded by vegetable fields, dairy farms, and meat processors that supply the capital's bazaars and stores. They need buckets for pickles and salads, sour cream and cottage cheese, ground meat, and marinated meat. The HTI plant is in the same Chuy Region, so our own trucks deliver buckets from 560 ml to 21 L to Sokuluk, and you can also pick up pallets yourself.
Sokuluk, Chuy Region: buckets across the region

Sokuluk District packs what it grows and milks and sends it to the capital. Each bucket is labeled with its job in the district; click to see dimensions, empty weight, and photos. The first group is for retail, the second for processing plants and canteens, and the third for the field and farm.

A liter of pickles in brine weighs about 1.05 kg: cucumbers and tomatoes from local fields for retail.

A clear bucket of pickled cucumbers for the counter: shoppers can see the cucumbers are small and uniform.

If you're picking up buckets in your own vehicle, remember that empty buckets nest inside each other, so more fit in the truck bed than you'd think. All lids are flat, with an OPEN tamper-evident tear strip under the rim.
Sokuluk's three main products mean three groups of sizes. The table shows who packs what, the starting size, units per pallet, and a page with an in-depth guide.
| Product | Who packs it | Bucket | Per pallet | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Korean carrot salad, salads | delis, bazaar producers | 900 ml | 7,200 | Korean salads |
| Pickled cucumbers | fish salting shops | 2.3 L | 3,300 | pickles |
| Sauerkraut | delis, canteens | 5.6 L | 1,920 | canneries |
| Sour cream, cottage cheese | dairy farms | 560 ml | 7,200 | dairy products |
| Ground meat for ready-to-cook foods | meat processors | 3.8 L | 2,800 | meat processing plants |
| Marinated meat | shashlik cafes | 8 L | 840 | marinated meat |
| Feed and beet pulp | farms | 21 L | 600 | feed and premixes |
A liter of pickles in brine weighs about 1.05 kg, so for pickling, don't pick a bucket bigger than you can comfortably lift: 5.6 L is almost 6 kg, and 8 L is about 8.4 kg.
Sokuluk is close to the capital, and most of the district's output goes to Bishkek's bazaars and stores. That creates four types of bucket buyers, each with its own go-to size and ordering season.

Cucumbers, tomatoes, and cabbage from local fields become pickles, Korean carrot salad, and other salads. For the bazaar, producers take clear 900 ml and 2.3 L buckets; for delis and canteens, 5.6 and 8 L with a metal bail handle. Shoppers easily carry a one-liter bucket home from the bazaar.
Local farms sell sour cream, cottage cheese, and kaymak to stores and bazaars. For the display case, the low 560 ml bucket with no handle and the tall 850 ml work well; for wholesale buyers, the 3.8 L. A liter of sour cream weighs about 1.0 kg, so 560 ml is a light purchase.
Ground meat and meat for manty and shashlik are packed in 3.8 to 8 L buckets: the wide opening makes it easy to put product in and take it out. The OPEN tear strip shows cafes that the bucket hasn't been opened in transit.
The district's products sell both at the capital's bazaars and in stores. A clear body helps sell from a stall, while a white one takes a label for stores. The OPEN tear strip under the rim settles any question of whether the bucket was opened before it reached the buyer.
Choose a size and the number of buckets for a month or a season. An example from a Sokuluk pickling plant: 4,000 of the 5.6 L buckets for cabbage come to three pallets, and 10,000 of the 900 ml buckets for Korean carrot salad add two more. If the plant adds 300 of the 21 L buckets for beet pulp for its own farm, that's one more pallet.
Sokuluk is part of Chuy Region, so our own trucks deliver buckets here, or you can pick them up yourself.
Describe your product and the sizes and quantity you need, and give the address of your plant or farm. If the buckets will carry your brand, mention it up front.
Your sales manager will pick the buckets, work out the pallets, and quote the order price and the cost of delivery on our own trucks.
Your order is put together at the factory warehouse in the Bishkek FEZ, Ak-Chiy village. For IML printing, the artwork proof is approved first.
Our truck brings the pallets to Sokuluk, or you pick them up from the plant yourself. Your sales manager confirms the lead time when you order.

The HTI plant and Sokuluk are both in Chuy Region, so our own trucks deliver buckets here, no freight carriers involved. Your sales manager confirms delivery time and cost when you place the order.
HTI has no warehouse or pickup point in Sokuluk: your order is put together at the plant in Ak-Chiy. Picking up from there works well for plants that have their own truck.
Pickling plants are better off ordering buckets before the harvest: in late summer, when the cucumbers and cabbage come in, you need packaging in large quantities all at once, and it helps if it's already on hand.
Dairy and meat processors do better on a steady schedule: the same order of buckets once a month or once a season. Tell your sales manager about your production cycle, and orders will be easier to plan.
Our trucks deliver buckets across Chuy Region. Places with their own page are linked.
At the bazaar, the product sells itself; in a store, the label does the selling. So the bucket version depends on where the goods are headed.
Korean carrot salad, cucumbers, and cabbage show through the wall, so bazaar shoppers can choose without opening the lid.
A white body is a clean backdrop for the label with ingredients and production date that stores ask for.
The 900 ml has a molded-in handle, the one-liter a plastic handle, mid-size buckets a metal bail handle, and large ones a bail handle with a plastic grip.
A label for a trial order or IML for ongoing production: the image is fused into the wall during molding and won't wash off.

Directly from the HTI plant in the Bishkek FEZ: it's the same Chuy Region, and our own trucks deliver the buckets to Sokuluk. Call +996 222 600 292 or request a callback.
Your sales manager prices each order based on size, quantity, handle, color, and printing. Delivery to your plant is calculated in the same quote, along with logo printing if you need it.
On our own trucks straight from the plant, no freight carriers. Your sales manager confirms delivery time and cost when you place the order. If you need the order urgently, say so when you call: your sales manager will tell you which is faster, our truck or pickup.
No. There's one warehouse, at the plant in Ak-Chiy, where you can also pick up your buckets. There's no pickup point in the district either: buckets come straight from production, made for your order.
For the counter, the clear 900 ml with a molded-in handle or the one-liter; for delis, 3 to 5.6 L. More on our Korean salad buckets page.
Yes, food-grade polypropylene buckets are used for ground meat and meat for ready-to-cook products, most often the 3.8 L with its wide opening. For shashlik, the 8 L with a bail handle and plastic grip. A label with the production date reads clearly on a white bucket.
A liter of pickles in brine is about 1.05 kg. So a 5.6 L bucket weighs almost 6 kg and an 8 L about 8.4 kg, with the empty bucket adding 156 and 250 g respectively.
Yes, with a label or IML. You approve the artwork proof with your sales manager, and then the run is molded.
All dimensions and empty weights are in our catalog. For the big picture on the district and its neighbors, see the Chuy Region page, and for the neighboring district there's a page on buckets in Belovodskoye.
