Nookat lives off its orchards and vegetable gardens, and sellers and buyers from all over the district come to its bazaar. Fruit leaves here fresh, as preserves, or dried; vegetables go into pickling; and nearly every step calls for a bucket with a lid. The HTI plant makes food-grade buckets in fourteen sizes, from small 560 ml to large 21 L, and ships them to Nookat by freight carrier.
Nookat, Osh Region: buckets across the region

An orchard farm needs packaging at every stage of the harvest: picking, processing, and selling. That's why the sizes are split into three groups by stage, and each one shows how it's used in Nookat. Click a size to see the bucket's dimensions, weight, and photo.
What shoppers carry home from the bazaar.
Preserves, pickles, and prepared foods for cafes.
Orchard, garden, yard, and buying from neighbors.
Containers for preserves, berries, dried fruit, and samsa to go.
Jerry cans for orchard water and homemade juice.
Yellow and red buckets for the district hospital, rural health posts, and the bazaar vet.

A serving of cherry preserves for tea: the small, handleless bucket lines up neatly on the stall.

Apricot jam as a gift for relatives up north: the light bucket with a plastic handle travels easily.

Dried fruit sold by weight: in a clear body, dried apricots and raisins can be seen from the far end of the row.

Apple butter for village shops: the handle is molded in one piece with the body and won't pull away from the wall.

A one-liter bucket of preserves weighs about 1.3 kg: a handy week's supply for a family.

Whole cherry preserves, pits and all, for the bazaar: the clear wall shows off the whole fruit.

A dried fruit mix for winter kompot: the 200 mm opening lets a scoop through easily.

Tomatoes in their own juice and lecho from district gardens for canteens and cafes.

Pickled cucumbers and peppers for teahouses: the metal bail handle can take a full bucket, brine and all.

Filling for bakeries and pastry makers: eight liters of preserves weigh more than ten kilograms.

Apples and pears from the high branches: hang the bucket by its bail handle on a ladder rung and keep both hands free.

Sweet and sour cherries for resellers: the rigid wall keeps the fruit from getting crushed in the truck bed.

Fertilizer and plant food for the vegetable garden: the bucket is easy to carry around the plot, and the lid keeps out moisture.

Grain for backyard poultry: twenty-one liters with a lid takes the place of a sack in the shed.

A serving of sweet cherry preserves for a guest from up north: the 250 ml hexagonal container.

Pitted dried apricots as a small bazaar purchase: the round 385 ml with a clear wall.

Dried cherries and prunes as gifts: 400 ml with a lid carrying the farm's sticker.

Fresh sweet cherries for shoppers on the road: the round 550 ml container won't crush the fruit.

Tandoor-baked samsa to take along on market day: a flat tray with a lid.

Water for the orchard at harvest time: a 5 L jerry can in the shade under a tree.

Homemade apple juice and kompot for a wedding: ten liters, with a molded-in handle.

IV drips and injections at Nookat Hospital: the lid valve takes the needle, and the one-liter bucket weighs 36 g.

Rural health posts in orchard villages: ampoules and cotton wool, a yellow 2.3 L bucket with lid.

Back-to-school vaccinations in district villages: syringes go in through the lid valve.

The dentist near the bazaar: wipes for the dental chair come out of a 75 mm dispenser valve on a 3.8 L bucket.

Falls from ladders during fruit-picking season: bandages from the urgent care clinic go into a red Class C bucket (by Kyrgyz sanitary classification).

Livestock market under veterinary inspection: gloves and syringes after animal checks, Ø 290 mm body.

District obstetricians: a day's waste goes into the yellow 11.5 L bucket with a plastic handle.

Outpatient clinic: a full week of vaccination campaign waste in one 18 L bucket.

The hospital holds its waste until the collection run from Osh: 21 L, and the empty bucket weighs 620 g.
The buckets taper toward the bottom and nest inside each other, so a whole season's supply fits in a corner of the shed until the first picking. Lids are included, each with an OPEN tamper-evident tear strip under the rim.
The same fruit leaves the farm in different forms: fresh, as preserves, or dried. Each form calls for its own size and body: clear if the product sells itself on color, white if the bucket is getting a label.
| Harvest | Sold as | Volume | Body | Learn more |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Apricots | preserves and jam for the bazaar | 2.3 L | clear | jam and fruit butter |
| Sour and sweet cherries | fresh fruit for resellers | 15 L | white | berry buckets |
| Apples | apple butter for stores | 900 ml | white, ready for a label | canneries |
| Dried fruit | sold by weight at the bazaar | 850 ml | clear | nuts and dried fruit |
| Cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes | pickles for teahouses | 5.6 L | white | pickles |
| Anything from the orchard | picking from the tree | 11.5 L | white | farms |
Go clear when bazaar shoppers decide by eye: preserves, dried apricots, raisins. White is for your own label and for harvesting, where looks don't matter but the bail handle and lid do.
Most bucket buyers in Nookat are family farms, where the same person picks the fruit, makes the preserves, and works the stall. That adds up to four jobs that need packaging.

Fruit is picked into 8 L and 11.5 L buckets: the metal bail handle with a plastic grip won't cut into your palm, and the tapered body empties easily into a crate. These buckets last more than one season and spend the winter stacked in the shed.
When the whole crop ripens at once, preserves get made every day. Once cooled, they go into 2.3 L buckets for the bazaar and 8 L buckets for bakeries that buy filling. A liter of preserves weighs about 1.33 kg.
Stall space is limited, so it pays to set out small buckets in several rows. The 560 ml and 850 ml sizes stand close together, and the clear wall works as a display.
Besides the orchard, the farm has chickens, livestock, and a vegetable garden. Grain and compound feed are kept in 21 L buckets with lids, and fertilizer in 18 L buckets that are easy to carry around the plot.
Choose a size and enter the number of buckets for the season. For example, a family makes fruit butter for village shops and orders 4,000 of the 900 ml buckets. That's one pallet, since a pallet holds 7,200. Add 900 of the 11.5 L buckets for picking, and you get two more pallets.
We sell direct from the factory, in orders of one pallet or more. The whole process, from your call to buckets in your shed, takes four steps.
Tell your sales manager what you plan to pack, how many buckets you need, and in what version: white, clear, or labeled. It's easiest to list all your sizes for the season up front.
Your sales manager will suggest buckets for your product, work out the pallets, and quote the order price. They'll also price shipping to Nookat: transit time and cost depend on the number of pallets.
Your order is assembled at the HTI plant in the Bishkek Free Economic Zone (FEZ), Ak-Chiy village. If you need in-mold labeling (IML), the artwork is approved first, and then the run is molded.
The pallets head south with a freight carrier. If you travel to Bishkek yourself, you can pick up the buckets from the plant in your own vehicle.

The HTI plant is in Chuy Region, in the Bishkek FEZ, and we have no other warehouses, not in Nookat and not in Osh. Each order is assembled for you and handed over to a freight carrier that takes it south. Your sales manager gives you the transit time and shipping cost along with the bucket price.
The buckets travel nested inside each other, so even a large order of small buckets takes up only a few pallets and doesn't need a separate storeroom on your end.
Have your picking and preserving packaging on hand before the first fruit ripens: at the height of the season, every week counts. If you're ordering with neighbors, let your sales manager know, and the orders will travel in one truck.
The region and nearby towns are linked: each page matches packaging to local farming.
Nookat goods go to the bazaar, to district shops, and to relatives in other cities. Each sales channel calls for its own bucket version.
Preserves, dried fruit, and pickles show through the wall, so sellers don't have to lift the lid for every shopper. Every size comes in clear.
For the bazaar, buckets with handles work best: plastic on the 800 ml and one-liter sizes, molded-in on the 900 ml, and metal or plastic on the 2.3 to 3.8 L sizes. Only the 560 ml comes without a handle.
The tear strip under the lid rim is torn off at first opening. As long as it's intact, it's clear the bucket of preserves hasn't been opened since it was packed.
You can add your farm's name with a sticker or IML printing, which is fused into the wall during molding. Goods sold under your own name stand out more on a village shop shelf.

Direct from the HTI plant: buckets are sold in orders of one pallet or more and shipped to Nookat by freight carrier. Call +996 222 600 292, and your sales manager will pick the sizes for your harvest.
Your sales manager prices each order individually. The price depends on bucket size, quantity, body color, handle, and whether you need printing.
It depends on the number of pallets and the carrier, so your sales manager confirms the exact transit time and cost when you place your order. Pickup from the plant in Ak-Chiy is also an option.
HTI has no warehouses in the south. All buckets ship from the plant in the Bishkek FEZ, so your order is assembled for you and shipped in one go.
Most people choose the 8 L or 11.5 L: they're easy to carry fruit in, and the plastic grip on the metal bail handle won't cut into your palm. For berries to sell, the 15 L works too. More on our berry buckets page.
For selling by weight, the clear 850 ml and 3 L work well: dried apricots and raisins show through the wall, and the lid keeps out dust. Details on our nut and dried fruit buckets page.
Yes. Several farms can pool their orders to fill a pallet or a truck. Let your sales manager know, and they'll split the sizes across pallets and quote shipping for one combined delivery.
Yes: with a sticker for a small order or IML printing for ongoing runs. An IML design becomes part of the wall and doesn't wash off when you clean the bucket after preserves.
Every size, with dimensions, weight, and handle options, is in the HTI catalog. For a general overview of packaging for the area, see the Osh Region page; neighboring towns are covered on the Kara-Suu and Aravan pages.

Tell us what fruit and vegetables you sell and in what form. Your sales manager will match your harvest to sizes and work out the pallets and shipping to Nookat.
